This section of the book has
been the most difficult to compile. The businesses included are limited geographically to
those with Tipton telephone numbers. The list was compiled from a list supplied by the
Chamber of Commerce, the list of those purchasing merchants' licenses from the City Clerk,
the yellow pages of the telephone book, and advertisements in The Tipton Times.
Especially in the service
category it was difficult to determine what "agents" should be included. The
ones listed are those for whom the business is the main source of income or activity
A determined effort has been
made to list every business in Tipton. Any omissions are unintentional.
